Learn the game. Build your skills. Have fun.

Whether your child is trying T-ball for the first time, starting softball or baseball, or already plays and wants to get better, one-on-one coaching gives them focused attention and practical instruction.

Around 10 years of competitive baseball experience in the United States, from T-ball through to competitive travel leagues in Florida.

Private coaching can complement club baseball rather than replace it. Your child gets individual attention on the areas they need to work on, while still enjoying the team environment of their club.

About the Coach

USA Baseball Coach “A” Certification — Current

Working With Children Check — Current

10+ years of competitive baseball experience in the United States, including travel-level baseball in Florida.

What we can work on

Hitting

Stance, swing mechanics, contact, timing and confidence at the plate.

Throwing

Grip, mechanics, accuracy and a consistent throwing motion.

Fielding

Ground balls, catching technique, footwork, positioning and throwing.

Pitching

Balance, stride, arm action, mechanics and accuracy.

Base Running

Starts, running technique, turning bases and game situations.

Baseball IQ

Positions, situations, counts, decision-making and what to do during a game.

Sessions are tailored to each player's age, experience and goals.

Already playing? Let's help them get better.

Sometimes a player loves baseball but needs a little extra individual attention. Regular one-on-one sessions can help identify weaknesses, build confidence and give them more focused practice throughout the season or during the off-season.

Not sure if baseball is right for your child?

Try a few personalised sessions first. Your child can learn the fundamentals, understand how the game works and decide whether they enjoy it before committing to a club or larger program.

60-Minute Development Session

Where we train

Sessions are flexible and can be held at local training fields, practice areas and baseball facilities throughout the Sutherland Shire, depending on what we're working on and what is most convenient for you.

For beginners, some sessions can be completed at a private training space in Engadine. Local ovals, practice nets and baseball facilities can be used when more space is needed.

Parents are welcome

Parents are welcome to stay and watch sessions. The aim is to make the experience comfortable, straightforward and positive for both the player and their family.

Beginner to intermediate players welcome.

What to bring

I provide the baseballs and training equipment needed for the session.

Players should bring their own glove, bat and helmet where applicable.

How it works

  • First session: we'll talk about the player's experience and goals, then assess what they already do well and what could be improved.
  • Personalised coaching: each session focuses on the skills that will benefit that player most.
  • Progress over time: regular sessions can build on previous work and help the player improve throughout the season or off-season.

Simple and flexible

If weather makes an outdoor session unsafe or impractical, we'll reschedule it.

Please provide at least 12 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. I'll always try to be reasonable when unexpected circumstances come up.
